Full Sail Advisors was founded in 2024 by Phil Coomes, who accumulated 15+ years experience transforming the organizations he had served, building & scaling the operational, financial, and accounting functions to help reach excellence.

After several years serving in roles in public & private corporations, higher education, government, and non-profits - Phil discovered his passion of being a thought-leader & problem solver. His ability to have solved such a broad range of business problems lent him to form his own consultation practice, where he could add the most value to his stakeholders.

Phil grew up in Washington State and at heart is naturally inquisitive, curious, and an adventurer. He has pursued experiences that have taken him across the globe - through an enlistment in the US Marine Corps all the way to founding Full Sail Advisors.

Academically, Phil is trained in finance, accounting, and economics - and hobbies in behavioral economics & the psychology of decision making.

Phil’s professional career has brought him through progressive roles in FP&A, audit, financial accounting, and operations - where he’s most refined his expertise in controllership and leadership.

Phil currently resides with his wife & their beloved cat in the beautiful Hill Country of Central Texas. He is a sailor, rower, and musician.
